NTT DOCOMO and RIM to Launch BlackBerry Bold in Japan

NTT DOCOMO and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced plans to launch the 3G/HSDPA BlackBerry Bold smartphone for customers in Japan in early 2009. The BlackBerry Bold smartphone leverages DOCOMO’s high-speed 3G and HSDPA networks and features a newly designed QWERTY keyboard, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and 2 megapixel camera.

The BlackBerry Bold will be showcased at CEATEC Japan 2008 from September 30 to October 4, 2008.
