Both of these models are intended to be music phones rather than camera phones thus the reason the focus is on the music capabilities. In fact, the Sony Ericsson W890i improves on the quality of the speakers compared to the Sony Ericsson W880i. Though this is not of importance to someone looking for a basic camera phone, it is extremely important for the music lover.

Although the Samsung G600 was released seven months earlier than the Samsung J700, the G600 surpasses the J700 easily. Both operate on a 2G network but the Samsung G600 utilizes a quad-band network and can be used in four networks, including GSM 850/900/1800/1900, which means this mobile phone can be used anywhere in the world.
The Samsung J700 has around 10MB of internal memory while the Samsung G600 has 55MB of internal memory. If that's not enough, there's also a memory card option, which can use an expandable memory of 1GB or 2GB. This expandable memory is also perfect for photo storage when the internal camera is used.

The new LG KF700 is designed to impress. It prides itself on having the best of both worlds. A touchscreen that the user can easily navigate through its numerous features without having to fiddle with arrow keys. However, the people at LG gave the user the added bonus of creating text messages without having to resort to a cumbersome stylus. It has an alphanumeric keypad perfect for text messaging as well as writing short emails.
The best thing about the KF700 is its sheer beauty. The design gives it a sleek look with beautiful lines that makes it one of the most attractive phones in the market today. It weighs a hefty 110 grams but considering the functions, including the alphanumeric keypad, it’s quite reasonable.
With a 3-megapixel camera with autofocus and a solid LED flash, the Image resolution is a decent 2048 x 1536 pixels. An image stabilizer allows the user to create photos with lesser blurs. Color effects in black-and-white, sepia, sketch and embossed is available and panoramic settings can also be used. There’s nothing new or fancy in the KF700’s camera features but it’s considered pretty good.
What it lacks for innovation in its camera, it makes up for its fast HSDPA at 7.2 MBPS and EDGE capability. A user-friendly interface is also a good feature and the user can easily use the web browser without having to find the visible controls. It shows easy accessibility as well as greater ease in scrolling from webpage to webpage.
You can even use tabbed browsing where you can jump from one site to another without having to close one and open another. They can be closed individually too. Moving from one screen to another is a breeze with the KF700 and it holds itself up in this aspect with the iPhone which basically uses the same interface.
With emailing options, a MicroSd TransFlash slot, an FM radio, connectivity options including USB 2.0 and Bluetooth, music player supporting MP3, AAC, WAV and WMA file formats, the LG KF700 is not just a pretty phone, it’s also one that is features-packed.

The new Blackberry 9000 bold with half-VGA, 65,000 colors and 480x320 resolution received its name from participants constantly calling it brilliant and bold during initial testing. Is it just hype or does it live up to its name? The color pops out at you from the display crisp and lifelike. The newly designed screen is amazing. It appears to actually BE the panel, rather than underneath it somewhere. Picture clarity and viewing angle are excellent.
The Blackberry 9000 has new icons and an updated look designed specifically for the "Bold". Looking at the images you can see the Blackberry 9000 is also more elegant and sleek on the outside just screaming STYLE. The black casing is offset in a striking way by the curvy edges and chrome trim.
In terms of design and function there are many features. It is just a bit larger and heavier, yet slightly slimmer than its cousin, the BlackBerry Curve at 4.5"x2.6"x.55 and a tad under 5oz. Compared to the 8800 the keyboard is more comfortable and easier to use due to more spacing between rows.
The Blackberry 9000 supports all of the latest wireless communications technologies such as HSDPA support. This is the first BlackBerry made to use this standard and it has been something anticipated for some time - but RIM wanted to ensure that battery life could still live up to their standards while at the same time offering users this new 3.5G technology.
Wi-FI (802.11a/b/g) is included as is Bluetooth 2.0 support. Also built in is GPS! The Blackberry 9000 comes with a processor which doubles the computing power of previous models. With double the processor of its cousin the curve the 624 MHz Intel ensures fast, smooth performance.
Theres no shortage of memory with a microSD/SDHC side loading expansion slot supporting up to 16GB and 128MG of flash memory and a full gig of onboard storage. The updated web browser included with the Bold is leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessors and allows web pages to be viewed in either mobile versions of full HTML, and the trackball can now emulate a mouse, including zoom functions.
This is GREAT news for many BlackBerry users! The Blackberry 9000 has you covered when it comes to multimedia. A 2 megapixel camera has built in flash, 5x zoom and video recording capabilities. There is media player software included which can play MP3, WMA, AAC, DivX4 and WMV3 files. The phone also has a headphone/external speaker jack.
You can expect rich, full stereo sound from the build in speakers. This is quite a contrast to previous models. AT&T users can expect to see the Blackberry 9000 first with HSDPA capabilities. Other versions will be out before you know it, says Lazaridis. The Blackberry 9000 will be available by summer of 2008, with pricing expected to be around 4-5 hundred.

A new breed of music orientated Samsung phone has just been launched in the UK, the Samsung F400 is the first model from the manufacturer to feature a dual slide mechanism first seen in the popular Nokia N95 series handsets although in this case the slide reveals an oversized internal speaker rather than extra controls.
The Samsung F400 has been released on Orange contract so that consumers can take advantage of the network subsidies which discount the handset price and provide an allocated amount of free calling minutes and text messages.
The Samsung SGH-F400 Opus, although equipped with a 3 mega pixel camera and video player, is, it has to be said, more of a music phone than anything else.
The Samsung F400 is a successful combination of style, functionality and great sound, with its Bang & Olufsen ICE Power audio users can enjoy high quality sound wherever and whenever. The F400 music player offers a choice of MP3, AAC and WMA music formats and a music recognition feature which allows users to record a snippet of song on the phone and it will then be able to give full track details, including artist name, song and album details.
A Quad Band GSM phone with GPRS support and EDGE technology, the Samsung F400 Opus is HSDPA 3G enabled and includes bluetooth with A2DP stereo support and USB connectivity. The phonebook with photocall will hold a 1000 entries and the 24MB is as one would expect expandable with microSD.
This super-slick phone is an eye - catching dual slider, slide the screen down to display a built-in external speaker or upwards to view the traditional numeric keypad. A perfect combination of style, beauty and comfort. With support for Bluetooth 2.0 users are able to listen to their favourite songs wirelessly with a compatible Bluetooth headset, also the inclusion of an FM radio means that users will never be without the latest music tracks on their phone.
Other features of the Samsung F400 Opus not mentioned above include a web browser, email, picture editing software, organizer and downloadable games.
This new and unique offering has been initially released on Orange, however it is widely expected that the Samsung F400 will be made available on further UK networks very soon. The handset is already available as a SIM Free phone so that consumers can retain their mobile number by inserting their existing SIM card but the addition of Orange tariffs means that people can closely match their usage requirements and save money with the inclusive minutes and text.
Samsung F400 is a stylish and powerful music player that brings the wealth of a good quality sound in a tiny body. Enjoy your precious music collection stored in its music library wherever you are and share it with friends.

The Walkman range of mobile phones has recently swelled to include a new sliding design handset with a difference, the Sony Ericsson W760i is the latest music focussed handset from the range and incorporates some new technology aswell as upgraded Walkman software and features.
The Sony W760i has been initially released in the UK on O2 contract tariffs, consumers are able to sign up to a 12 month or 18 month contract agreement and receive a W760i Walkman phone free of charge.
Walkman phones are a real alternative to carrying both an MP3 player and mobile phone, as technology has advanced it is now possible with the help of MicroSD cards to carry over 4000 individual songs on memory negating the need for both devices.
The Sony Ericsson W760i is a Global Walkman Phone and the first of its kind that really can be labelled as such. A Quad Band GSM handset with GPRS support, the Sony Ericsson W760 is HSDPA enabled, offering 3G Services, USB connectivity, EDGE Technology and Bluetooth Wireless with A2DP Stereo Support.

With enough space to store up to 950 of music tracks on the phone and a whole lot more on removeable MicroSD memory cards, bonus features such as TrackID recognition, Shake Control, Sensme and TrackID charts, the Sony Ericsson W760i will no doubt keep users more than just entertained.
And to help get them to their destination, the Sony Ericsson W760i comes equipped with its own built-in GPS Receiver with Wayfinder Navigation software and Google Maps as found in many new models but not so much the Walkman range. For those planning to lose a few pounds the GPS supported Tracker Application can calculate distance, speed and time in order to help them monitor their progress.

Although initially launched on O2 in the UK, the Sony W760i will be picked up by further networks in the coming weeks, this is not a network exclusive mobile phone.
