Remote Computer Access Software

Having remote computer access software has been both a blessing and a bust for Mr. Tunnelvision because now his boss expects a whole lot more out of him than before. Just why can't these computer geniuses leave well enough alone? Mr. TV recently saw the unnerving aspect of this whole remote pc access software in practice on the day there was trouble with his computer at work and a technician from four states away actually took control of his workstation and the mouse arrow started moving around the screen while he just sat and stared. What really blew TV's mind was the fact that the tech made a comment about how cute the wallpaper picture of his grandchild was. There goes the last vestige of privacy.

In reality, having remote computer access software installed at a person's office computer and then at the home computer opens up brand new ways of being productive. Think about the day an employee gets a terrible migraine and has to go home to lie down for a few hours. The problem is an important white paper has to be researched in the company archives and completed before nine the next morning. With the remote pc access software on the both her office computer and her laptop at home, the executive can leave without guilt or remorse. She begins to feel good again about eight in the evening, and she sits down at the kitchen table with coffee in hand and opens up the desktop at her office computer and goes to work. By two in the morning the paper is complete and sent to the proper personnel. Every program, every file, every program access at work is available for her access at home.

The real problem with these software packages has been reliability and security. Remote access software from years past has often caused the computer being accessed to freeze up. Once that happens, the fun is over, unless the accessed desktop is just upstairs. In addition, older versions of this application have been very slow and sometimes caused the accessed computer to act in some pretty bizarre manners. But the tide has turned in the development of these software packages. First, improvements have been made to the two software package application where both the host and the accessed pc need the software, but secondly, more successful applications have a website to join the two that brings more stability to the exchange of information. In addition, the remote computer access software that uses a website to assist in the transfer of information is also much more secure, because the connection is 128 bit AES encrypted rather than user-settable.

In terms of using this type of access program, it is very easy and simple. A user can just go the website of the company and log in and within a few seconds on a fast connection, the user is connected to the distant pc. Within a very short amount of time, the user actually sees the desktop of the remote pc and can do just about everything a person could if one were sitting at the accessed desktop. Things like collecting email, alter or producing word processing documents, running a spreadsheet or other tasks. The user can also transfer files between the two computers. There is nothing to have set in the control panel.

"Judge not that ye be not judged." (Matthew 7:1) For remote pc access software services using a website, it is not unlikely that a person will have to subscribe for the service rather than a onetime fee for use. Subscription costs run almost two hundred dollars a year for one desktop access and more as the numbers rise. The possibilities of remote computer access software and services are astounding and can possibly change how business is done. Consider the following scenarios:

Hard headed Tunnelvision keeps on grousing about less and less privacy and that remotely accessing other pcs just seems wrong to him. Oh, but things change on the day Mr. TV gets a call from his seven year old grandson at two in the afternoon to come watch the little guy play at four. Tunnelvision is racing to get a report for the boss done before the head honcho leaves for a business trip the next day. All the figures are in company accounting files. Depression and guilt fill TV's head as the guy who is about eight years behind the times tells the grandson that seeing the game is not possible today. He hangs up the phone, and then with a shout remembers what a blessing it is to live in 2008 and rushes out the door to make the two hour trip across the state to watch the little boy smack a homerun to win the game. At 7:45 that night, TV sits down and uses the remote pc access software to use the desktop at work and emails the completed report by 11:30.

For the woman salesperson that is having trouble sleeping in a Paris hotel and can't stand French television, she pulls out her laptop and uses the remote pc access software to watch American television. It's a comedy. She laughs and falls asleep, ready to make the big presentation tomorrow. Isn't it a remarkable world we live in? If it were possible to use this software to control the next door neighbor's dog that won't quit barking, billions could be made.
