Cisco Certification Training

A career computer tech will desire Cisco certification training as part of the list of credentials in moving to the top of the ladder in the chosen field of Internet Technology administrator. Cisco, short for the town of San Francisco, is better known as Cisco Systems and has been in business since nineteen eighty four. In that year two college students were some of the first to invent a router, which is a device to send emails between two different types of computers. Today the brand name name is now applied to a type of training that is highly desired. Cisco training classes offer a three tiered level of certification, including associate, professional and expert, in several areas of Internet Technology interest. These include routing and switching, design, network security, service provider telephony, storage networking and voice. Since Cisco training classes are a multi-tiered experience, it will be helpful to look at some of the requirements for each of the educational levels.

The associate level of the validation process includes the certification of CCDA, which encompasses a knowledge of network design in order that the graduate can design basic networks using routers and switches for LAN, WAN and broadband access for businesses. The second level for the associate certification is the CCENT, which is an entry level leading to the CCNA. This level of training prepares a technician to design and install a network for a small business with limited stations. The third level of validation for the associate is the CCNA which certifies that the holder of the certification can design, install, configure and troubleshoot a medium size network of routers and switches. In addition, at this level of Cisco training classes, the associate will be certified to limit security threats and design wireless network configuring.

There are five certifications within the professional level of the validation training. This has been described as the journeyman level of expertise and provides a complex education in a number of areas. The CCDP certification enables the holder to design handle advanced networks and their security along with other abilities. The CCIP validation enables those who work in an IP forum to have competency in providing network solutions among various IPs. The Cisco training classes for the CCNP certification are able to design, install and manage networks with up to five hundred stations, with the understanding of all the issues that will ensue in such a configuration. The CCSP certification for CISCO networks is meant to bring high level competency for the holder in the area of network security. The CCVP certification under the professional tier of Cisco certification training brings voice telephony expertise to the field.

The final level of certification is the specialist or expert in a particular area. There are almost thirty areas of specialization possible for the one achieving the associate or professional certification. They include specializations in various sales applications, design applications, network applications, telephony and security applications. Of course, these certifications are not a one-time bestowal on an individual attaining such dizzying heights in Internet Technology competency. Recertification is usually required in Cisco certification training at least every two years, with some requiring at every three. The goal of the multi-level training structure is to encourage an ongoing trek towards higher and higher expertise over a career path. "Jesus answered, "Verily, verily I say unto thee. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.'" (John 3:5)

The question becomes after hearing so much information, "Is it worth the time, effort and expense to receive Cisco certification training?" Begin with these thoughts in mind. Over one million Internet Technology jobs will be created in the US by the year 2014. In addition, there will be thirty to forty percent shortages of skilled IT workers all over the world. The fastest growing IT markets in the world are India, Russia, Mexico and Turkey. And the median salary for a large city in the heartland of America is seventy thousand dollars for near entry level jobs with Cisco certification training. Few other careers offer such brilliant beginning opportunities.

CS is one of America's great success stories. At the apex of all the dot-com success, in about the year 2000, Cisco was worth five hundred billion dollars. Through all the implosion of those same dot-com successes, the company is still worth over one hundred and fifty billion dollars, one of America's largest corporations. It has offices in over seventy countries and has an annual income of about thirty five billion dollars. Its recent advertising moniker says something like, "Greetings to the human set of connections," although that loose paraphrase misses something in the translation. But since the company is highly involved in making networks happen, one can see the connection.

professional validation that is derived from taking Cisco training classes is available in dozens of locations all over the US and many more around the world. The company has developed academies in one hundred and twenty eight nations for education on how to build and support computer networks. And with the proliferation of computer science being taught at every major world university, there has been a tremendous shift in power concentrations in areas that once were considered backward economies. India has become more of a threat in terms of economic loss due to more and more of its citizens gaining computer skills and the willingness to work at lower wages. More job losses due to Mexican workers who have gained the same skills. The same can be said for even the countries that were behind the Iron Curtain just two decades ago. It has been the spread of the genius of companies such as Cisco that has made our economy a worldwide marketplace.
