Nile Cruise

A Nile cruise is perhaps the best way to view the ancient temples and tombs of past civilizations and to experience the unique culture of those living in Egypt today. Floating down the Nile River allows one to travel throughout historic Egypt and see the remains of the great cultures that once dominated societies and brought modern thinking and building to our world today. This particular cruise is exciting, informative, and even relaxing, and allows the taking in of all of Egypt from the deck of a ship and enjoying the comforts of a home away from home. River cruises offer the same amenities and accommodations that ocean cruises offer, making them an exciting vacation and touring option. And, to see Egypt, cruising down one of the world's largest rivers is definitely the way to go.

Visiting this part of the world is a grand lesson in history and geography. "And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land." (Genesis 45:18) The Nile is the longest river in the world and it is located in northeastern Africa. It flows through Uganda, Sudan and Egypt, and empties into the Mediterranean Sea and covers an area of more than 1,293,000 square miles. Virtually all of Egypt is visible from a Nile Cruise, therefore offering an excellent way to view all that Egypt has to offer.

The most popular itineraries for this travel are the four-day, one-way cruise between Luxor and Aswan. Most all ships stop at the two well-preserved and ancient temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo. However, a fourteen-day cruise will allow for land tours that carry one into more remote locations. These longer river cruises also may include several nights in Cairo, visiting the pyramids and museums located there. Tourists will want to find a Nile cruise that provides tour guides and admission fees with the package cost. This will allow guests on board to enjoy shore excursions without the hassle of making reservations with tour groups, or venturing out alone.

Tutankhamen's Tomb, pyramids, and a Sphinx are brought right up to eye view and become so much more real to the viewer. Aside from the historic side of this travel, it can also include modern entertainment as well. Scuba diving in the Red Sea can be an experience to remember and can include many of the other water sports. Classical music can be added to the repertoire with an assortment of operas that are available as well as other assorted night-life and world class restaurants and more in the cities of Egypt. River cruises can offer adventures in ancient ruins and entertain with all the luxurious amenities of a modern vacation. Taking a Nile cruise can be the ultimate in vacations as the Nile River is where old civilizations meet new.
