Eating healthy is not only important for young Moms but for their babies too. You wouldn't feed a newborn a bag of potato chips or a sugary can of pop. Keeping things healthy helps when forming a life long habit of eating well.
Getting all your food groups in a balanced meal plan can mean including the healthy carbs with your lean proteins and good fats. Make sure to snack on fruits, vegetables and wholesome grains. You can do all the exercise you want but you won't lose the pregnancy weight without eating right as well.
C is for Caridovascular:
You've just done some sit ups and you've had your power smoothie chalk full of nutrients, now it's time for some cardio. You don't have to spend hours at the fitness club. Why? Because in order to lose the pregnancy weight you should be boosting your metabolism with short bursts of high intensity cardio.
An interval training cardio workout of jogging mixed with walking and maybe running will allow your heart to get stronger and your energy level to increase and burn calories for you all day. Try and make it fun. You could organize a hike with friends, go for a swim with the family or take a morning power walk with baby in the stroller or in the baby sling.
The ABC's of fitness are just the basics to getting back in shape. Follow these vital tips first and you'll be inches away from losing pounds quicker. Losing the pregnancy weight doesn't have to be a battle when you've got the information you need to win the war.
