The far infrared portable sauna is sometimes called "sauna on the go". This is in reference to is ease of use; but it is true that they are relatively portable. These saunas are very attractive for this reason to those who move a lot or have limited space to work with.
Infrared saunas offer many health benefits, both physical and mental. This article will tell you a little bit about these benefits and give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to try out this revolutionary new type of sauna. Before I go any further - two words of caution. Don't forget to drink plenty of water before getting in the sauna; otherwise, you could easily become dehydrated. Also, never get in a sauna after drinking heavily, as this increases the odds of dehydration.
The infrared technology has the ability to penetrate deeply into the body which can help you to really sweat and release toxins. The purpose of any sauna is to sweat but with the infrared sauna you have less heat within the enclosure itself so it is far easier to stay in it for extended periods of time.
Traditional saunas can be difficult to breathe in, but this is not at all the case with an infrared sauna. I usually spend about forty minutes in the sauna and bring something to read. The sweating an infrared sauna promotes and helps your skin to eliminate toxins from your body. It is also beneficial for your circulation and can alleviate muscle aches and pains. This is healthy and relaxing.
There are different types of portable saunas available - some are fold-up, allowing you to take them just about anywhere. Others are constructed much like a traditional style of sauna but are much easier to install or take apart when moving.
There is also the type which is like a box from which your head and arms protrude from - a little strange looking, but very effective. You could read or watch TV while having a sauna with one of these units. The rest of you is in the sauna, with only your head and hands outside.
Personally I prefer the enclosure style, I like to feel that I am in a sauna, but if you want take a sauna regularly and you rent a property for example, this type of sauna may work very well for you.
An infrared sauna offers a great way to relax and unwind after a long day while providing all of the health benefits of a traditional sauna (and then some). While it takes longer to start sweating in an infrared sauna - in fact, you may wonder if it's broken for the first ten minutes or so until the sweating suddenly begins about 15 minutes in. After a good sweat and a shower, you'll feel relaxed and wonderful inside and out.
