Author: Darren Evans Nokia 1650 is a small and stylish candy bar style handset that will appeal to people who only require a basic phone without a camera or music player to complicate matters. Weighing only 80g the Nokia 1650 is light and promises excellent battery life (up to 8 hours talk time), which is good considering the 1650 operates through a 65,000 color display - typically much more battery hungry than monochrome types.
Feature wise the Nokia 1650 is dual band, meaning it will work fine in most European countries if you choose to travel. The built in currency converter may also prove useful in these circumstances. Entertainment is provided in the form of an FM radio, listened to through the headset provided and 3 games to play during your down time.
Although the Nokia 1650 does not have a camera it is still picture messaging compatible, meaning you can keep in touch with friends or family events as they happen. The ability to set reminders and clock alarms should keep things on track.
Ergonomically the Nokia 1650 has a seamless keypad that is well spaced and easy to keep clean. The front cover is changeable for those who like their phone to match their mood or dress. In all it is the functional, cost effective solution to making calls which Nokia are famous for.
Overall the Nokia 1650 is a very capable mobile phone that offers no frills communication for a reasonable price, just don’t expect too much from it and you’ll do fine.
