Sony Bravia Flat Screen TV Specifications

By Chris Channing

High definition is a new fad in televisions that lets gamers, movie fanatics, and sports fans to watch what they want on a clear cut display. The Sony BRAVIA is one such high definition television that has been making a stir, simply because of the high level of quality the package exhibits.

Most don't know that the Sony BRAVIA is an actual acronym for Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture. We can see why the developers just wanted to call it the BRAVIA! But as the name implies, the BRAVIA has great resolution and integrated sound on board, consumers are sure to not be disappointed in either department.

A high definition television is expected to have a certain amount of "extras" that extend the functionality of the television. One such extra is the massive amount of inputs that televisions today are coming with. Of the more popular is the S-Video input, which allows other devices to use the high definition TV. A device such as a laptop will be able to broadcast movies, video games, or even to conduct meetings with.

Another popular input that a high definition TV should have is the HDMI input. This input is used to input high quality signals into the television from other sources. HDMI is particularly popular since it is only limited by what the television can show- meaning resolution will be at the aboslute finest. It's great to watch the game on the big screen with resolution unmatched by few.

The average high definition LCD television is going to have to be accompanied by special high definition streaming sources to take advantage of the HD abilities. Satellite television, for instance, will sometimes require extra money for special channels that operate in high definition. Unfortunately to take full advantage of the Bravia's abilities, obtaining such channels is going to be necessary. Most movies in DVD format should already take advantage of the HD formate.

There are several types and price ranges of the Sony BRAVIA. It isn't unheard of to pay as much as $4,000 or more for a high definition LCD television. Some other models of the BRAVIA will be able to offer discounts, in which the total price would be around $2,000 or less. This all depends on the model and features, but one thing is for certain: catching one on sale is always a good idea.

In Conclusion

The best way to impress some friends as they come over is to show them how large one's flat screen television is in width. Televisions have almost become a new way to enjoy life to the fullest, as most are accustomed to watching many hours of TV each day. For more information, check with local retailers and stocking agents.
