Like many star-athletes before him, Phelps went to Magic Kingdom Orlando after establishing himself as the world's greatest swimmer.
This wasn't the first trip to Disney World for Michael Phelps after an Olympics. Disney World and Disneyland both honored him after the 2004 Olympics.
Disney showed its appreciating for Phelps by honoring him with a parade, including the typical confetti and flag-waving audience.
While at Disney, Phelps said:
"I am so happy to celebrate here and see some of the fans who supported me. It's great to feel so much excitement around the sport of swimming in the U.S. and around the world. To top it all off with a parade at Disney World is just incredible."
