Small Business Car Insurance

Small business auto insurance can be obtained by contacting a local business policy writing agency or a commercial automobile insurance agency either locally or regionally. Small business car insurance is typically purchased from a company owner who actively uses an automobile as a company expense, or as the primary source of revenue for their enterprise. This type of policy is placed in two categories: small business car insurance, and commercial automobile policies. The type of policy and coverage amount desired may vary and choosing the type that best suits an organization owners needs is required.

It is fair to compare the various kinds of coverage available. While small business auto insurance is strikingly similar to regular automobile coverage, the differences are in the amount of coverage and additional specific coverage. For example: regular automobile policies will not cover lost wages due to automobile repair, this policy will. Being that the automobile is the primary source, or secondary source of revenue for the owner, repairs that inhibit the production of revenue are fully insurable, up to a limit. The limit chosen will determine the premium paid. Wear and tear on an auto is higher, and the policy provider will charge premiums according to the amount of miles that are used on the automobile.

Knowing exactly the kind of coverage needed for a person's particular company needs is important. The three categories of small business auto insurance are: liability, comprehensive and collision. Liability covers the other driver in the case of an accident, as well as their medical expenses, etc. Collision and comprehensive coverage charge 50%-75% more in premiums for the addition of collision and comprehensive small business car insurance to liability coverage. Liability coverage is mandated by every state, and the driver must have some sort of proof. This kind of policy protects the driver, the business, and other drivers, and is the best type if coverage to get if the company is dependent on transportation.

The legal and practical aspects of having this kind of coverage need to be considered by anyone who is the owner of a small company. Some Christians frown upon the idea of obtaining small business auto insurance. They feel that they are not depending on God to provide and protect them if they purchase small business car insurance. The Bible does not specifically address the purchase of any type of coverage, but it does address the matter of obeying the law and the leaders elected to create that law. Car insurance is mandatory for any motorist that plans to drive on the open road. "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." (Romans 13:1
