You Can Fix A Slow PC Startup

By Michael Baker

Do you need to fix slow pc startup problems? Have you noticed that your friend's old Pentium II computer seems to run faster than your Pentium IV? A Pentium IV computer with a well maintained windows XP system will run fast even if it has only 128 MB of Ram memory, and have a smaller CPU. So if your computer is running or starting up slow you need to fix slow pc startup through the software, before you look at the hardware of your system.

A software may be at fault and not working properly for the slow working of the computer. There are many things going on side by side which should not have been working with 1s and 0s that you are not even aware of.

There are several things that can slow your computer down:

1. Low space in the hard disc or hard drive or hard drive getting old. 2. Not enough memory. 3. Virus in the computer. 4. Many junk files present in the computer.

Usually, the best way to find out what is the problem with the computer and how to make it work faster is to eliminate the little problems first. Perform some quick maintenance works and then see what happens to it. 1. Remove the files that you no longer need, temporary files in the computer, and remove the files from the recycle bin from the system tools in accessories in the start menu. 2. Run a scan program for the hard disc. 3. Defragment the hard disc so that any infected areas of the fragmented hard disc are removed. 4. Scan the computer with a virus scan program. 5. Download a registry error removal program from the internet. 6. Install it in the computer and run it so that it fixes all the problems.

All this process takes around 20 minutes of yours to complete. You must reboot the computer once you finish with this. You should look at some more places in the computer, in case this process does not solve the problem.

Have a look at the antivirus program of your computer. If it is old or incompatible with your computer, then probably it caused the computer to slow down. You may upgrade the antivirus for this. Run it sometimes in your computer to make sure that there is no malware in the computer.

The hard disc may be causing the slowing down of the computer, if it still persists. Try to analyze if any type of sound is coming from the computer that you find strange. A rugged off hard disc produces a clicking sound which comes too often or regularly. The blue screen of death may also appear in some cases which also causes the computer to become slow. The hard disc may be scanned by a hard disc scanner to see what the problem is inside the yard disc. Your system may need an additional RAM memory. Check the RAM memory of your computer. Windows XP runs normally fast if there is 256MB of RAM present in it.

So, there are many things which may be done in order to make the computer work fast. It is just the fact that there is time factor involved in it.
