Distance education lacks face to face interaction and the classroom discussions that traditional learning experiences provide. The student must have the self-motivation to complete and submit assignments on schedule, while at the same time being disciplined enough to engage in online dialogue with classmates and professors as requested. Distance education learning can be a great way to get that degree if a traditional educational path is not open to a student. With scholarship opportunities and online resources available to students, many people are finding that this is the answer they were looking for.
