Having patience and keeping focus on the end result of all the effort in getting a degree will help motivate a student to do their best even in classes that aren't liked.
Typically, schools that offer students this opportunity allow a liberal amount of transfer credits. All schools have different policies, so it is advised that a student check with their prospective schools registrar office before enrolling to earn a degree online. There are many majors to consider when attempting to earn a college degree online. Choosing the right one is based on an individual's academic interests and future career goals. An academic counselor can help decide which classes to take. There are opportunities to earn a college degree online at the Associate, Bachelor, Masters or Doctorate level.
Every prospective school should be checked to see if it is accredited by a nationally recognized accreditation agency. The most common accrediting agency for online schools is through the DETC or Distance Education and Training Council. This agency reviews distance learning schools in order to evaluate their major curriculums and offer a probationary period of accreditation. Once the probationary period has been served, the school is awarded accreditation with tri yearly reviews to maintain accordance with regulations.
