Halloween trivia is a fun thing that many schools and organizations use on October 31st in order to do an activity pertaining to the holiday. A Halloween trivia quiz can present questions about rituals and different sayings that are used during the holiday. Playing these types of games is also a fun thing that people do at parties. Quizzes can be full of fun, simple questions or they can be deep, scary questions. However, many games never really talk about the origins of Halloween. Games stay clear of the subject because the origin is actually a disturbing story about Druids sacrificing each other in order to stay clear of evil spirits.
Most games played during the month of October have emphasis on the cute characters that line school halls and children's party walls. Halloween trivia will involve questions about black cats, pumpkins, and witches. A Halloween trivia quiz may also have a question about candy. But if someone was to have a quiz about the real story of this holiday, they would find some pretty scary things. To learn more about God vs. Satan, take our Halloween Trivia Quiz.
If a game were to cover serious questions about this holiday, no one would probably want to play! The questions that the Halloween trivia quiz would cover would talk about the number of deaths that happen during parties while people are just having fun, which is a sad reality about the violence that this holiday evokes. Halloween trivia about the evil spirits that the druids attempted to keep away with human sacrifices and rituals would be gruesome. Halloween is really a dangerous holiday because dabbling in things of evil is not what the Lord calls us to do. "Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none." (Psalm 10:15)
When considering a game for parties or activities, seekers can take the opportunity to discuss and consider the truth behind this much celebrated holiday. Halloween trivia ought to cover the real story. The entire event could be used to teach about dark and light and how they have nothing in common. Be encouraged to step back from the holiday, and analyze why this has nothing to do with Christ. "For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee" (Psalm 5:4)
