Acne Treatment

Acne treatment includes antibiotics, synthetic vitamin treatments, laser treatment or liquid products that kill the bacteria temporarily. Those with persistent problems should seek professional help. Any dermatologist and many family practitioners can provide information and the best personal solution. Some acne products offer "quick-fixes," and the truth is that almost none of those actually stop the problem. The best solutions are usually those that simply provide control. Soaps that provide gentle cleansing are good for skin care purposes, and be sure not to scrub too vigorously. Scrubbing harder won't make the problem go away.

Skin problems are caused by hormones, stress, bacteria, biology, skin oils or clogged skin pores. How often a person washes their face does not affect whether or not they have acne. Those who do not wash their face, however, may not be able to get rid of the problem. If necessary use a good acne treatment containing benzoyl peroxide which can be purchased over the counter at any pharmacy. This problem usually occurs when the body starts to produce hormones called androgens. Androgens cause over stimulation of sebaceous glands, causing teen skin problems. Some people are born with a predisposition, but almost everyone suffers from some form of this problem. Acne products on the market can usually help clear up mild symptoms. There are no cures, but scientists have noted various factors that affect a person's propensity.

By paying attention to these factors, a person might be able to practice acne prevention, avoid overuse and find natural alternatives. Stress increases the hormone levels in the body, thus affecting the frequency of acne breakouts and the use of acne products. Research suggests that coffee acts much like stress in the body and should be limited in consumption. An improperly balance diet including sugary and fatty foods will cause poor skin conditions and likely increase the need for treatment. A study published in 2001 shows that smokers experience 62 percent more outbreaks than non-smokers: one more reason not to light up.

This can be an embarrassing issue to talk about and face, but remember that God is with His believers through anything. Joshua 1:9 says "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Skin problems affect up to eighty-five percent of people between the ages of 12 and 24, but acne can also be a problem for adults. There is acne treatment specifically for adults, and most of these will be prescribed by physicians.
