Boat donations are easy to make through many legitimate charities that accept various types of transportation donations such as auto, truck, plane, and RV's. Offered by generous philanthropists, such a gift can provide a significant amount of funding for a charity. Those who have a watercraft they never use, or are considering for a trade-in on a newer one can make a much needed contribution to any charity that appeals to their sense of concern. A boat donation is accepted by charities that support victims of health problems, victims of natural disasters, the poor, uneducated and many other national and international crises.
Almost any type of vehicle gifts are accepted by many reputable charity organizations that have developed a program to refurbish a watercraft for resale or auction the boats off. The practical uses of boat donations are not as varied as a donated auto because most charity causes address the basic human needs of its particular project. Since boats are usually a recreation item, most watercraft is sold for money by charities in order to raise needed funds for their causes. A boat donation sold at a bargain price, however, offers a quick resale opportunity for charities.
It is easy and simple to offer this type of gift at many online charity sites. A giving form is available on most charity sites and general questions regarding the gift will be asked such as make, model, condition, and status of title. After submission of the boat donation form, the contributor should hear from most charities within 3-4 days. If accepted, the watercraft will be picked up by bonded and insured towing services secured by the charity. Contributors are not responsible for any charges of pick up or delivery to receiving charities.
Most charities accept donated watercrafts from all states and will accept a gift in almost any condition. Charities do prefer that boat donations be accompanied with a legal title, but some will work with the owner if there is no longer a title available. Charities will provide all legal paperwork including tax credit for IRS purposes. Contributors also will receive proper licenses and any other requirements for resale provided by the charity. Offering a boat donation for charity is a way to help the needy, supply funds for charity projects, receive a tax exemption and get rid of that boat in the yard! Consumers should check with many online charity sources that accept boat donations for further information. "...he blesseth the habitation of the just." (Proverbs 3:33)
