Auto Dealership Training

As a former auto sales professional, I am here to give you first hand recollection on how to succeed in the Auto Sales Industry. Taking advice from me, a fellow sales professional, will give you the edge to be the best salesperson ever.

If you are good with sales, then this is definitely an ideal position for you. Most dealerships offer a base hourly rate, plus a commission bonus. Commissions can be anywhere from 15% to 25%, from my experience. The pay can be very nice indeed. Average sales persons make around 48k - 60k a year.

Having awesome mathematical skills is a must in this industry ! You must effectively be able to compute numbers in your head. If you have to take out a calculator, this will take away from the whole sales presentation. From my experience, you will also learn either a wholesale or a retail approach depending on your particular dealership.

Knowing basic features and options is essential in selling an automobile. You must read all the literature offered on the market and know it inside and out. Being an educated seller eases the concerns of the buyer when they are making such a high priced purchase.

A more powerful tool for negotiating is being NADA certified. To become NADA certified, you must pass the exam successfully. To help you succeed in doing this, you must complete 6 interactive training courses and also do 191 minutes of example video scenarios.

If you successfully review all your notes and study any pre-exam tests, then you should pass your exam without any trouble. Donat forget to take advantage of all the online tools available to you. No one can be too prepared !

Customers rely on their salesperson being knowledgeable about their product. If you are knowledgeable, then you will be more confident. This is key. Your customers will trust you if they feel that you know what you are talking about. In 3-5 days you should be confident enough to be the best salesperson.

The best tips that I can offer you is to become NADA certified, spruce up on your math skills and know as much as possible about the product you are selling. By doing all of this, you will expel confidence and earn the trust of your future customers.
